US crude oil exports rose 260,000 bpd to hit 3.16 million bpd in June, an unprecedented level driven by South Korea's increased purchases and recovery. China's crude purchases by Washington, showed data from the US Census Bureau.

South Korea was able to overtake Canada in terms of oil purchases in the United States to become the largest importer of US crude with about 605,000 barrels per day in June.

China has bought about 92,000 barrels of American oil per day (bpd), the highest monthly rate since June 2018.

China was the largest oil buyer in the United States, but cut back on purchases in the context of the escalating trade dispute between the two countries.
