US yields at 30 have fallen to historic lows

DirectUS Treasury yields at 30 have fallen to record lows on Wednesday.

At 11:00 am GMT, the yield on 30-year US Treasury bonds dropped 9 points to 2.068 percent, after reaching 2.056 percent earlier in the session, its lowest level ever.

This 30-year US bond yield level exceeded its July 2016 record low of 2.09%.

The yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds fell 8 points to 1.628%.

The yield curve between two-year and ten-year bonds has been reversed for the first time since 2007.

During this period, the yield on 2-year US Treasury bonds declined by 5 points to 1.624%.

The 2 and 10 year Treasury yield curve has also reversed for the first time since the global crisis.

Bond market transactions are evolving in a climate of uncertainty over global economic growth, following disappointing economic data in China.
