DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Reuters) – Frenchman Kevin Guimero sent a "shocking" photo of Gerard Pique of Barcelona in Saturday's match between the two teams.
Guimero consulted his followers on his official Twitter page and thanked them for his support after receiving this serious injury.
"One day after the big party at Camp Nou, thank you for your messages and for Valencia to live," said the former Paris Saint-Germain player.
Guimero hit Piquet before the break, obliging him to leave the injured stadium, while the Spanish player was looked after by the medical staff of the Catalan team.
The match between the two teams ended in a draw between the two teams with two goals, after Barcelona scored two goals late in the 39th minute.
