Veteran Carter guides hard-earned Hawks to Detroit

(Reuters) – Veteran Vince Carter led the Atlanta Hawks to a 98-95 win over the Detroit Pistons in the NBA on Sunday.

Carter scored 18 points, in his best performance of the season, to lead the Hawks to a third consecutive victory and continue their good performances.

The Pistons had the chance to shoot 23 seconds before the end, but Blake Griffin lost two free throws.

His opponent, Jeremy Lin, grabbed the ball. He made a mistake and scored two free throws with the Hawks 94-91 in 21 seconds later.
