Wall Street is leaping on positive economic data

US stocks jumped on Thursday, pushing the S & P 500 to record its largest percentage gain on a day in nearly two months, as bond yields rose a day after a sharp fall as economic data better than ever before. Expected returns in the United States and China eclipsed trade concerns.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the quarter at 371.46 points, or 1.43%, up 26,378.53 points, while the Standard & Poor's Index 500 Index <.SPX> rose 54.11 points, or 1.88%, to close at 2 938.09.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 176.33 points, or 2.24%, to 8,039.16.
