Health experts warned of the danger posed by sugar substitutes, such as industrial sweeteners, pointing out that the promotion of these substitutes is healthy.
Chosun Ilbo, South Korea, said that industrial sweeteners are not without risks and that some species contain a significant proportion, such as black sugar and cactus syrup.
The production of black sugar is based on the juice extracted from sugar cane.
Black sugar preserves many nutrients without being filtered, but the surprise is that 90% of its ingredients are sugar, that is, it is not an ideal substitute.
Aloe Vera syrup, used by dieters, contains 70% sugar and 1.5 times more calories than regular sugar.
Some people prefer aloe vera because it contains fructose, a better ingredient than glycose, which increases the level of human blood sugar.
Too much of this drink can lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and diabetes, as well as high blood pressure and dyslipidemia, according to Sky News Arabia.
Lee Sung-a, a researcher at Chungang University, says that excessive consumption of sugar is harmful to human health, regardless of its source: that it is fruit or honey;
