The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority (RAKIA) today announced the creation of four new categories as part of its annual Business Excellence Awards, to be held this year at its sixth session. The total value of the cash prizes stands at 220,000 AED, which are awarded to the best companies in the free zone and local businesses of Ras Al Khaimah.
The Business Excellence Rewards Program – for the third year in a row – is the result of RTA's cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Development Department. The new reward categories for 2019 are:
Best teaching provider: awarded to RACs that contribute to improving the quality of education in Ras Al Khaimah.
Best Service Provider: Business Center Grants providing consulting, marketing, professional development and other services.
Best Business Leader: awarded to business leaders working in the ARK who are a living example and inspiration for excellence.
Best Business Environment: The award is awarded to RAK Enterprises and the Economic Development Department of Ras Al Khaimah, which has an attractive and welcoming business environment.
Rami Jallad, the group's CEO in Ras Al Khaimah, said the RTA is inviting customers to apply for all categories, while RAKDE's customers are limited to the first three. The list of awards includes: Best New Business Award, Best Small Business Award, Best Shareholder in RAK Development, Fastest Growing Company Award and Best Industrial Company Award .
He pointed out that the Authority had sought to broaden the scope of the program this year to include also new categories, namely free-zone enterprises and local businesses active in the areas of economic development. Education and services, two vital sectors that contribute to the economic development of Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to inspiring leaders who has a distinguished work environment.
He added: The Authority is committed to increasing the comprehensiveness of its awards program to foster a culture of excellence in all areas of business and its dissemination to all businesses, regardless of their diversity and size.
Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Shaib Al Naqbi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development (RAK), welcomed the renewed cooperation with RTA to honor the Ras Al business elite Khaimah, offering clients the opportunity to showcase their achievements and celebrate their hard work. During their journey to achieve excellence. An independent jury, composed of judges from the International Foundation for Excellence, will select the laureates.
