Chelsea laments the absence of a crucial striker in the 1-0 defeat against Leicester in the first home defeat of the Premier League this season.
Chelsea coach Maurizio Sari was joined by Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard in the center of the whimsical striker, alongside wingers Villian and Pedro, while Olivier Girou was sitting on the bench.
Chelsea took the ball for long periods, but that did not translate into serious opportunities, while Hazard lost two chances on the way.
In the first half, Hazard hit the crossbar of Casper Schmeichel, while the Danish goalkeeper saved another powerful shot from the Belgian playmaker in the second half.
Jiro took part in the last half hour, but the French striker failed to hit Leicester.
"I was very happy at the end of the first half and we played very well," said Sari, "we were dangerous and we left no chance for our opponent.
"I was very happy with the team and using Hazard as an attacker. After the goal, the danger is no longer important."
Chelsea scored his fourth goal of the season with the exception of Hazard, who scored eight goals in the league.
Alvaro Murata has scored five times in 14 games and is expected to recover from an injury to Chelsea on Wednesday against Watford, but Sari could continue to attack Hazard as an attacker.
Striker Jimmy Farde, striker from Leicester and England, scored the only goal in the 51st minute.
