Serena Williams beat Czech Maria Buzkova 1 to 6, 6-3, 6-3 before the Rogers Cup final on Wednesday with Canadian girl Bianca Andrescu.
Serena had a tough match against the 21-year-old Czech, who showed no sign of tension despite her first appearance in the WTA Championship semi-finals and her favorite player since her childhood.
Bozkova broke Serena twice to lead 4-1 and finished the first set in 29 minutes, but Serena quickly rose and broke his opponent to lead 4-3 to the second and make their way to the third set.
Bozkova's performance began to decline and Serena took advantage of the situation and broke his opponent to lead 3-1 and continue his way to grab the final appearance card.
