Aston Villa beat Ipswich Town 2-1 in the first round of the Premier League, while Wigan Athletic sank 3-0 against Nottingham Forest.
Al-Masri Ahmed Al-Mohammadi and Thierry Aston Villa took the lead in the 68th minute, while Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham scored two Aston Villa goals in the 6th and 61st minutes and Freddy Sears reduced ahead for Ipswich Town in the 76th minute.
Sam Morsi of Wigan Athletic took the lead midfielder in the Nottingham Forest standings. Joe Loley gave the hosts 19 minutes ahead of Josh Widens in equalizer in the 33rd minute, but Nottingham replied with a second and third goal through Matte. Kash and two big goals in the 48th and 80th minutes.
With these two results, Aston Villa occupies the 10th place overall with 42 points, while Wigan Athletic has 29 points and is in 20th place.
