Nada Kamel, the wife of the artist Ahmed al-Fishawi, appeared in the hijab, holding her husband's arm, at the funeral of the late Farouk al-Fishawi. Al-Fishawi's body arrived shortly before the Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque and funeral prayers took place before his body was taken to his last resting place.
Many celebrities from the art, media and politics attended the funeral, as well as his ex-wife Sumaya al-Alfi. Farouk al-Fishawi, a 67-year-old artist, announced his cancer a few months ago and left the world at dawn on Thursday after suffering from a hepatic coma.
Al-Feshawi has left a rich legacy of Egyptian art, with his participation in 148 motion pictures, 71 series and 14 plays.
