The Spanish newspaper Marca has published a report presenting the latest developments between Barcelona and Real Madrid regarding the signing of the Paris St Germain Neymar striker before the closure of the summer transfer market.

Neymar is linked to leaving Paris Saint-Germain for several weeks and the club president has even opened the door from the Brazilian striker and any other player on the team. Barcelona was keen to get his services, before his rival, Real Madrid, took part in the negotiations and kidnapped Mercato in the last two weeks.

The newspaper said in its report that Barcelona was a little closer to Neymar's signature in the last few hours, after Athletic Director Eric Abidal's trip to Paris to discuss the possibility of transferring the player to Camp Nou.

The report adds that the relationship between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain is very tense. This is precisely why Eric Abidal went to Paris to try to remove previous differences. However, it did not reach an agreement with the management of the Paris club, but this step facilitated communication between the two parties.
