LeBron James joins Fortnite this week as a playable athlete

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will officially join Fortnite as a playable athlete on July 14 with two distinct outfits, one of which is inspired by his Tune Squad jersey from Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Both LeBron’s outfits will be accompanied by his next signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 19, and each represents a different part of the basketball star.

The LeBron James outfit combines “the best of LeBron’s character on the court and before the game,” and includes the Lebron James outfit, King’s Back Bling and optional sunglasses. Next to this outfit, you’ll find a King James Gear Pack that includes the Lion’s Pickaxe, Wingspan Glider, and The Silencer emote.

The outfit, back bling, pickaxe, and glider all feature a progressive edit slider that will allow players to add over 20 gold variants.

The Space Jam: A New Legacy-themed outfit, officially known as the Tune Squad Lebron Outfit, will include LeBron’s Taco Tuesday-style variant and the Supreme Back Bling Pack, allowing you to “take a guac on the wild side. of LeBron “.

If you want to purchase all of these LeBron James themed items, the Fortnite Item Shop will also have the King James Bundle which combines all Outfits and Back Blings as well as the in-court loading screen.

LeBron follows Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr, who was the first playable athlete in Fortnite, and Englishman Harry Kane and German Marco Reus.
