Space Jam: A New Legacy is scheduled to premiere simultaneously in US theaters and on HBO Max on Friday, July 16.
Four days before his domestic debut, leading man LeBron James made it a family affair when he attended the live / animated sports comedy world premiere at Regal Cinemas LA Live in Los Angeles.
The film, with James playing a fictional version of himself, is the long-awaited sequel to 1996’s Space Jam starring Michael Jordan, the all-time great basketball player.

James, 36, looked dapper in a fitted dark blue suit he wore with a black shirt, tie and dress shoes.
Considering he’s starring in a basketball-based movie, it was fitting that he would choose to wear his world championship ring that he recently won with the LA Lakers last summer.
His wife for nearly eight years looked elegant in a shoulderless green dress that accentuated her feminine curves.

She completed her ensemble by wearing green strappy heels and her dark braids styled long but pushed back from her face.
The couple’s only daughter looked adorable in a sky blue floral dress, which fell just below her knees, with sheer sandals and raven locks with lots of natural curls and a straight side part.
The Jameses also have two sons LeBron Jr., otherwise known as Bronny, 16, and Bryce 14, although it appears they weren’t in attendance for the event.
Four-time NBA champion James also co-starred on the red carpet with director Malcom D. Lee and his co-stars Don Cheadle, Cedric Joe, Sonequa Martin-Green, Ceyair Wright and Harper Alexander.

At one point, musician John Legend joined us for a few poses in front of the row of photographers.
James, Cheadle, Martin-Green, and Khris Davis lead live-action roles in the film, while Zendaya, Jeff Bergman, and Eric Bauza are part of the voice cast of Looney Tunes.
The film, which is from the production company of James SpringHill Entertainment, centers around a high-stakes interdimensional basketball game that James must play alongside the characters of Looney Tunes to get his son back from an evil computer algorithm.
NBA players Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul and Kyle Kuzma make appearances in the film along with WNBA players Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike.
