Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James remained diplomatic when she discussed the ejection of several fans in Monday’s 107-99 win over the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.
The referees stopped the game in the fourth quarter as James had a conversation with the fans on the court seats. According to ESPN Dave McMenamin, four fans were escorted out of the arena.
James told reporters after the game that he “missed that interaction” with a live audience and that he “[didn’t] feel that it was justified to be deported. “
Anthony Davis was more brutal: “It was a crazy little thing, but it happens.”
James finally laughed at the situation:
Starting January 26, the Hawks started to allow no less than 1,700 fans to start watching the matches until February 24.
The current circumstances make it a particularly difficult time to step into the game with star athletes with your feet sitting away from the action. Monday’s game will likely be the Lakers’ only trip to Atlanta this season. When Los Angeles returns next year, Hawks fans would do well to avoid meddling with James.
