Legendary Pokémon Zarude to debut in Secrets of the Jungle movie and new game

The newest Legendary Pokémon Zarude will appear in the upcoming Secrets of the Jungle movie, as well as in the collectible card and video games.

The latest Legendary Pokémon Zarude is about to take the franchise by storm.

Zarude will be at the center of the next Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. The trailer features Ash and Pikachu meeting a boy named Koko, who was raised by Zarude in a forest. Koko refers to Zarude as “Dada,” and the Simian Pokemon appears to be fiercely protective of his young charge.

Zarude will also appear in the Sword and Shield – Live Tension expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set features the first appearance of the “Amazing Pokémon” cards, which feature vibrant rainbow backgrounds that extend outside the frame, as well as a special rarity symbol. Fans also have the chance to get Zarude in Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield if they sign up for Pokémon Trainer Club email notifications before November 20.

Zarude has sparked controversy in the Pokémon fandom since its inception. Part of that controversy is due to its Leaf Guard ability, which many players feel is rather lacking in a Legendary Pokémon. With Zarude making an appearance in several forms of Pokémon media, it remains to be seen if their perspective will change.
