Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed and does not yet have an updated release date.
Developer TT Games announced the delay on Twitter. “At TT Games, we are all working hard to make Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the greatest and best Lego game of all time – but we will need more time to do so,” the statement said. “We won’t be able to fix a release date for the spring, but we will provide the updated launch schedule as soon as possible.
All 2021 video game release dates are, as always, placeholders at best. There are a number of things that can cause delays, even under ideal circumstances, and with the world and the industry as volatile as they are, the odds of delays have never been higher. This Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga delay could push the game back a few weeks or months – we’ll just have to wait and see for now.
The Lego Skywalker saga was originally scheduled for October 2020 according to a leaking trailer, but a hastily pulled Lego store item he later fixed it for 2021. Spring 2021 is a fairly recent release target for the game, so in a way, it’s no big surprise to see it slide further into the year.
The good news is, from what we’ve seen so far, the Lego Skywalker Saga will be worth the wait. Like our friends from the OPM reported earlier this year, the massive adventure game allows players to explore all nine Star Wars films in any order, with around 300 playable characters between them. This includes Babu Frik, and playable Babu Frik is back-of-the-box blurb if I’ve seen one before.
Think of it this way: this delay gives you more time to save the many accompanying Lego sets Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
