Leo Whitefang still shows his back in a guilty effort

Arc System Works uploaded a new Guilty Gear Strive Video of the getting started guide of Leo Whitefang, one of the Three Kings of Illyria who is also Ky Kiske’s friend and rival.

Leo made his debut in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- as a DLC character. But in Aspire, it will be available in the game at launch. Although comrade Xrd Newbie Ramlethal Valentine received a noticeable change in her playstyle, Leo still plays mostly similar to the previous series.

Its unique advantage is the rear posture officially known as the Brynhildr Stance. Some Leo moves can only be performed in this stance, like Kahn-Schild – where he generates a shield that can parry close range attacks and reflect most projectiles – and the Stahlwirbel overdrive move. However, Leo users should also keep in mind that he cannot jump or do a regular block with the back stance.

Leo Whitefang is the latest returning character to join the Guilty Gear Strive open the beta client list and get a getting started guide video this week. The remaining characters who have yet to receive their guide videos at the time of writing – Nagoriyuki and Giovanna – are both new, so we’ll be learning their move lists for the first time with their upcoming videos.

Guilty Gear Strive will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on April 9, 2021. Arc System Works will be hosting an open beta test for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from February 17 to 21, 2021.
