Venom: let there be carnage arrives exclusively in UK cinemas from October 15, and as you will no doubt know from the trailers and clips released by Sony Pictures, the relationship between Venom and Eddie Brock will be a big part of the plot. Putting this sequence together hasn’t been an easy task, which we learned in a recent conversation with director Andy Serkis. The filmmaker shared with us how he pitted Eddie against Venom and credited Tom Hardy’s work as the key to helping this hilarious and memorable encounter come to life.

The first movie didn’t do the best job of exploring the dynamics of Venom and Eddie beyond a surface level, but with these two clashes in this movie, the stage is set for things to potentially change. importantly for them to move forward. It’s hard to say what form this will take, but Serkis recently told us about the development of Venom’s status as “Lethal Protecto” in Venom 3.
