LeVar Burton declared himself the winner, although he will not be the new host of Danger!. the Rainbow reading the star graciously reacted to upset fans after the news that Danger! Executive producer Mike Richards is finalizing a deal to succeed the late Alex Trebek as master of ceremonies on the venerable syndicated game show.
“I have said a number of times over the past few weeks that no matter what the outcome, I won. The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and fans has been amazing! If love is the ultimate blessing and I believe it is, I am truly blessed beyond measure, ”he wrote via Twitter on Thursday.

Viewers ‘reaction to Richards’ hampering contract has been mixed. Many on social media wonder if Burton and others like Ken Jennings and Buzzy Cohen, among others, have really stood a chance. The distrust felt by fans, many of whom have invested years in supporting the series, promise to remove her from their watchlists in the future.
But Richards also has strong support. Commentators on Deadline’s story give him their support, saying they predict the ratings will go up because he looks the most like Trebek.
Sony Television Pictures has yet to confirm Richards as Danger!’s new host.
