LG is no longer the main player in the tablet market, but that does not mean that it has completely abandoned this segment. In reality, XDA developers has discovered new information suggesting that the company is actively working on a new tablet.
Called the LG G Pad 5, the device will come powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This chipset is over three years old and was previously used in the original LG G6, OnePlus 3T and Google Pixel, but should still allow the Snapdragon 670 of the Galaxy Tab S5e to earn its money.
The tablet uses Android 9 Pie with LG's custom interface and features a 16: 10 widescreen 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200p resolution. As shown in a sealed bottom, the panel is associated with much sharper goggles than the LG G Pad IV that precedes it and with a single camera facing the front.
Other features include 4G LTE support and a fingerprint scanner. Whether positioned on the side, at the back or under the screen remains to be seen.
