LG Richie Incognito still doesn’t practice

You know the season officially started when the first injury report comes out. It happened today as the Raiders entered the pitch for the first day of the week’s preparation for the Ravens they will face in the opening game of Monday Night Football.

The big name missing from Raiders training is starting goalie Richie Incognito. The veteran goaltender was injured in scrimmages with the Rams a few weeks ago, ahead of their preseason game. Gruden said at the time that he was hopeful Incognito would be back for Game 1. This remains the case.

“He’s improving,” Gruden said of Incognito. “He hasn’t trained today. We’ll see what he feels at the end of the week. We still hope he will play. But he didn’t train today.

The Raiders’ training also lacked safety Roderic Teamer.

The Ravens were deprived of TE Nick Boyle and DE Derek Wolfe.

The big news, however, was the injuries to RB Gus Edwards and CB Marcus Peters who sustained serious knee injuries. Edwards was stepping up for injured JK Dobbins, who had the Ravens sign veteran free agent RB Devonta Freeman to the practice squad.
