LG’s roll-up OLED TV on sale in the US for $ 100,000

LG’s futuristic roll-up TV is here. The LG Signature OLED R TV is now available in the US for $ 100,000, which costs about 50 times more than your average 4K OLED TV.

But it’s not your average TV. It has a thin and flexible 65 inch OLED display. The “wow factor” is the TV’s ability to roll around in its housing when you’re not watching a movie or playing a video game in 4K. It also comes with an audio system with Dolby Atmos and Sound Pro, and integrates Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for voice control.

The TV has three viewing modes: LG calls them “full view”, “zero view” and “online view”. In full view, the TV is fully extended from the base. In zero view, it came back up, allowing you to enjoy only the Dolby Atmos speaker. In online view, part of the TV is unrolled, about a quarter of the screen. This expanded section could show a clock, weather, or photos.

Last year the television became available in South Korea for a slightly lower, but still high, price of $ 87,000. The LG Signature OLED R TV is available for purchase from the LG website starting Friday.
