NEW YORK – The day the New York Yankees reinstated a player from their casualty list, another player immediately left.
About an hour before the Yankees met the Minnesota Twins on Saturday (in a 7-3 loss to the Bronx Bombers), the team announced that starter James Paxton had been placed in the 10-day IL with inflammation of the left knee.

In all, 16 Yankees have been sidelined as a result of their injuries this season. CC Sabathia, Gary Sanchez and Miguel Andujar have all returned from the IL. Andujar is the last player reinstated.
