Liam Neeson has directed dozens of action films over the course of his career, but the actor has revealed that it may soon be time to retire from the genre.

The 68-year-old artist admitted that age had a lot to do with his decision.

“I’m 68 and a half. 69 this year. I’m going to do a few more this year – hopefully COVID allows us that – there are a few in the pipeline and, so I think that that’s probably all. Well, unless I’m on a Zimmer frame or something, “Neeson told Entertainment Tonight.

What keeps him going is playing with opposing young stars, Neeson admitted.

“I love doing them. I love beating guys half my age,” he said.

The “The Marksman” star said during a recent film shoot he shot in Australia that his co-star was as young as one of his sons.

“I just finished one in Australia and had a fight scene with a kid – a cute, sweet actor called Taylor – and halfway through the fight I looked up, I was out of breath and it didn’t cost him a dime and I said, ‘Taylor, how old are you?’ He said, “25.” “Neeson laughed,” I said, “That’s my oldest son’s age!” “

In October, Neeson told Fox News he wanted the stunts to be recognized with big awards.

“[Stunt people] are awesome, ”said Neeson. The guy I work with, [stunt coordinator] Mark Vanselow, [we’ve] made 24 films together.

“He’s done incredible stunts for me and for other actors too… yes they should, they should be recognized. They should. But people in the industry know that,” he added.
