Activists from the Green New Deal Network, a coalition of 15 organizations, plan to “hunt birds” Sinema during the marathon, the organization said in a press release, according to the Boston Globe.
Last week, a video emerged showing Green New Deal Network chief of staff Kunoor Ojha docking Sinema at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, pressuring her to support the Build Back Better Act.

While Sinema was at an airport, Karina, a recipient of the Deferred Action Review for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), approached the Senator, asking if she would be heading down a lane to the citizenship for immigrants.
“Can you commit to it, senator?” Karina asked, later adding, “I don’t want to bother you, but at the same time, I just want to know if I can get a commitment from you, senator.”
Sinema sought to ignore the activists.
Earlier in the week, immigration activists followed Sinema from the classroom where she teaches at Arizona State University to the bathroom, demanding that the senator support a “path to citizenship.” They continued to harass her while she was in the stall and later when she came out to wash her hands.

Sinema has voiced his opposition to the Build Back Better bill, which Democrats have often associated with a $ 1,000 billion bipartisan infrastructure bill with Republican Support. Sinema and his colleague Sen. Joe Manchin, DW.Va., balked at the $ 3.5 trillion sticker price, which the Wall Street Journal editorial board says is a low estimate of the true cost. of the $ 5,000 billion bill. Activists approaching Manchin’s barge in kayaks also docked Manchin.
Biden addressed the confrontations against the senators last week, noting that none of the senators had Secret Service protection.
“I don’t think these are appropriate tactics, but they happen to everyone,” Biden said.
