Chuck Liddell may have competed for the last time.
"The Iceman" was indefinitely suspended by the California State Sports Commission following its trilogy to fight Tito Ortiz, according to his medical report on the finalized suspension that was made public Wednesday at MMA Fighting. Liddell has titled a list of nine fighters to whom long medical suspensions would be imposed.
In competition for the first time since 2010, Liddell suffered a brutal defeat in the round of 16 against Ortiz in the main event Liddell against Ortiz 3 on Saturday. The 48-year-old fighter has been appallingly stunned in each of his last four bouts dating back to 2008. He is now going to request that his indefinite suspension be lifted by officials of the commission. State of California if it hopes to fight again in North America.
Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 took place on November 24th at the Forum in Inglewood, California. The main card of the evening was broadcast live à la carte and served as the first offer in mixed martial arts among the Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya.
