Lightning delays football match between Cal and Washington

SEATTLE – Cal's football match in Washington caused a delay in the weather at 19:51. Saturday due to a thunderstorm in the Seattle area, and resumed 2 hours and a half later.

Shortly after the teams and supporters left in search of shelter, electricity was also briefly interrupted at Husky Stadium. Transportation services on the Husky Shuttle Bus underground were also suspended during the storm.

Officials said the match could not be resumed without a flash reported within eight miles of the stadium for a period of 30 minutes in a row.
