Lil Nas X has an argument with critics of her latest song and the shoe line that accompanied it, including South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
The rapper released his controversial new song “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” last week and quickly caught people’s attention for the music video which sees him provocatively dressed, dancing on the pole and giving Satan a lap dance in hell.
It wasn’t long before many voiced their displeasure with the rapper’s sexually explicit and religiously controversial video, prompting him to take to Twitter and give nothing to his response.
“you love to say we’re going to hell, but you get mad when i really go lmao,” he wrote in response to Friday’s reaction.

Responding to a critic, Lil Nas X, 21, pointed to the renewed attention being given to mass shootings and gun violence in America to accuse people of selective outrage.

“There is a mass shootout every week that our government does nothing to stop. Slipping me along a CGI pole is not what destroys society,” he explained.
It added later: “you all say a gay ni — twerk on a CGI satan is the end of times like slavery and the holocaust did not happen.”
One user noted that his previous hit song, “Old Town Road,” was marketed by a children’s “system” that now pushes “MONTERO”, which the artist took issue with.
“There was no system involved. I made the decision to create the music video. I’m an adult. I’m not going to spend my entire career trying to meet the needs of your children. It’s your job. , ” he has answered.
He also noted that “Old Town Road” contains lyrics about adultery.
The star went on to explain that he wasn’t planning on apologizing for the song.

“I spent all of my teenage years hating myself for the shit you preached happened to me because I was gay” he wrote. “So I hope you are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger that you teach us to have towards ourselves.”
While it has been clear that he doesn’t feel bad about the song’s release, or the subsequent partnership with MSCHF to sell an exclusive Satan-themed sneaker decorated with a pentagram, cross. reversed and a drop of real human blood, the rapper posted a YouTube. Sunday video titled “Lil Nas X Apologizes For Satan Shoe.”
However, the video is a fake that plays a clip of the lap dance scene in the video.
One person who was not amused by the fake or the shoe was Governor Noem, who took to Twitter to scold the morals of marketing these shoes to children.
“We tell our children that this type of product is not only correct, but also ‘exclusive’. But do you know what is more exclusive? Their God-given eternal soul, ” she wrote on Sunday. “We are fighting for the soul of our nation. We have to fight hard. And we have to fight smart. We have to win.”
The artist replied by writing, “ur a whole governor and you here tweeting about goddamn shoes. do your job!”

The governor then retaliated with a biblical quote that reads: “What good is someone winning the whole world while losing their soul? – Matthew 16:26.”
Not to be outdone, Lil Nas X stung her with a lyric from her song.
