He was torn because of the scene where he was doing a lap dance to Satan.
To promote the song, he teamed up with MSCHF to launch “Satan Shoes” – a video-themed sneaker with the Nike logo on it. Well, Nike weren’t too happy because they “had nothing to do” with the creation of the shoe, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Given that Lil Nas X is literally the king of turning pain into profit, he’s of course used all of this controversy to promote his upcoming single, “Industry Baby” – starring Jack Harlow and produced by Kanye West – in joking elaborately on social media. about an upcoming “court date” and potentially “going to jail”.
