“Mixtape playing seemed like a dying art and as I was one of the pioneers in the craft, and it played such a big part in my career, I felt it was right to resurrect it”, recently said Wayne Complex. “Plus, it’s a lot of songs here that I wanted to kill in my own way!”
DJ Khaled, who serves as the “host” of the new mixtape, teased the project on Instagram, noting that he worked with Wayne on the rapper’s 2005 mixtape, The suffix.
Weezy’s last mixtape arrived with the 2017s Dedication 6, his long mixtape series with DJ Drama.
Earlier this year, the rapper won his fifth No.1 album on the Billboard 200 with his latest studio album, Funeral. The ensemble followed its head of the list Tha Carter V, released in 2018.
