Lil wayne blames an “unrelated third party” for screwing up his plan to perform at Mike tyson to fight – to tell TMZ Sports there is no bad blood between him and Triller.
Our Weezy sources tell us that the rapper took his Thanksgiving weekend celebration with his family in Louisiana on hold so he could be in Los Angeles to perform during the fight – and he made the trip.
But something went wrong on the day of the fight, which led Wayne to bail out the entire event.
So, what happened?
“Unfortunately there was an independent third party who attempted to fit into the production process between Triller and Lil Wayne the night before the event and the morning of the event and unfortunately this caused enough problems that Wayne couldn’t perform, “Triller said in a statement co-released by Wayne.
Details behind the scenes are unclear – but a source put it this way … one of the producers of the event “interfered with Triller and Lil Wayne at the last minute trying to fit in and ended up creating a mess and total confusion. At some point, Wayne got frustrated and decided it was best to withdraw from the performance. By the time Triller learned of the mess, it was too late. “
Wayne – who is actually a co-owner of Triller – said he was proud of the way the event went, “but was really disappointed to have been barred from playing by the third party.”
Weezy and Triller both say they’re on good terms and note that the rapper “will definitely be on Triller’s next fight card.”
