If you have browsed Netflix this weekend, you may have encountered Extremely nasty, terribly bad and vile on the serial killer Ted Bundy. Zac Efron plays Bundy while Lily Collins plays with his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer. Entering any dramatic role like this must weigh heavily on the actor, but Collins got an extra boost to play that role after being visited by what she thinks is the ghosts of women killed by Ted Bundy.
In the film (and in real life), Ted Bundy killed 30 women and girls in seven US states in the 1970s. For most of this period, the charismatic Bundy had a girlfriend named Elizabeth Kloepfer. Kloepfer could not believe that Bundy was guilty and claimed that he was innocent. It's a strong and particularly powerful story considering the many casualties at the hands of Bundy.
There are many cases where survivors or family members of victims give their blessing for the making of a movie, but it is very rare that ghosts give their approval. Lily Collins claims that the spirit of the women killed by Ted Bundy visited her late at night and that it all started when she started getting up at 3am every night.
Lily Collins goes on to tell the Guardian that she thinks she has been contacted by spirits. However, it was not a scary experience like a Conjuring movie. Collins states that she was not afraid at all and that the women were there to show their support.
It's not up to me to tell if the ghosts are real or not, but Lily Collins believes it is, and it nevertheless looks like an experiment for her.
Comprising Extremely mean, 8 films were made on Ted Bundy. He has been called one of the most ruthless and coldest men of all time. Netflix's film provoked mixed reviews, but most critics described Zac Efron's performance as Bundy of the film's highlight.
You can verify Extremely nasty, terribly bad and vile at any time because the movie is available for the pleasure of watching right now on Netflix. For all the other films that the streaming service has in store for the month of May, here is our Netflix movie release guide.
