Senator Lindsey Graham, RS.C., hit out at Dr Anthony Fauci in a series of tweets on Friday suggesting that the leading infectious disease doctor is turning a blind eye to the risk of the coronavirus spreading among migrants at the border.

“Paging Dr. Fauci: You must go to the southern border and witness the biggest super-spreading event in the country in person – President [Biden’s] immigration policies, ”Graham tweeted.

Graham said thousands of migrants from Central America with a “10% positive COVID rate” are spreading the virus in overcrowded border facilities. The migrants stay “on top of each other” and then “dumped in Texas” and other parts of the country to further the spread of the coronavirus, Graham said in a multi-threaded tweet.

FAUCI’S SILENCE OVER BORDER CRISIS IS HEALING, MEADOWS SAYS

“Dr Fauci, does COVID science justify President Biden’s treatment of Central American migrants?” Graham tweeted. “If you are worried about the spread of COVID, you should be gravely concerned about what is happening at our southern border. There is no end in sight to this super-spreading event until these policies are in place. modified. “

Graham’s comments reflect Republicans’ frustration with the Biden administration and the President’s chief medical adviser as they continue to preach masking, small gatherings and social distancing for Americans at a time when border facilities are overcrowded by an influx of migrants.

TEXAS RANGERS ALLOWING FULL CAPACITY IN BALLPARK ‘ONE MISTAKE’, SAYS BIDEN

There has been closer scrutiny into the administration’s handling of migrant children in recent days as Republicans and reporters toured the facility in Donna, Texas, which has a 1,700 percent capacity and footage show migrants wrapped in tiny “capsules”.

Elsewhere in Texas, Biden criticized the Texas Rangers for not placing any capacity limits on fans participating in Major League Baseball’s first home game next week.

“I think that’s a mistake,” Biden told ESPN in an interview Wednesday. “They should listen to Dr (Anthony) Fauci, the scientists and the experts. But I don’t think that’s responsible.”
