Former Nickelodeon actress Lindsey Shaw tearfully announced a social media hiatus after she was inundated with ‘hate’ posts to poke fun at a viral dance craze started by young black men.

The former “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” star insisted she just didn’t care about the difference between Millennials and Gen Z when she first referred to the dance video that featured been viewed 100 million times.

“Hey. Are we okay? What is this?” The 32-year-old actress said in her debut TikTok, mimicking slow dancing with the caption “Millinneals win”.

But she was soon back online in floods of tears, stating in a video, “The hate mail in my inbox is not OK. OKAY? I didn’t want to say anything in any way, ”she insisted.

“I am not here to offend or belittle anyone. At all. I thought the Millennial and Gen Z thing was a thing on TikTok. It wasn’t that big of a deal, all of you, she said, wiping away her tears.

“I learn everyday, like I think everyone does. And that kind of hate just needs to evaporate from the planet, no matter who it is directed to, ”she said.
