Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden admitted on Friday that starting linebacker Cory Littleton would miss Sunday’s home game against the Denver Broncos because he is on the reserve / COVID-19 roster.

Littleton was put on the list Thursday. It has not been announced if Littleton has tested positive for the coronavirus or has been in close contact with someone who has. However, Gruden said he spoke to the player on Thursday and Littleton was feeling good.

Gruden has said Nicholas Morrow will replace Littleton in the Raiders’ base defense against the Broncos. and Gruden said he trusted Morrow. Littleton signed a three-year, $ 36 million free agency contract. Littleton has been a disappointment this season. He didn’t make the tackles he made with the Los Angles Rams and he suffered from pass coverage.

Meanwhile, Gruden said the coaching staff will decide on Saturday whether to activate rookie cornerback Damon Arnette. He has been on the casualty reserve for several weeks due to a hand injury. However, he had a good week of training.

Gruden also said defensive lineman David Irving, who is on the practice squad, could play on Sunday. He signed last month, but hasn’t played in the NFL for two years.
