LinkedIn is down and having website issues

[ad_1]

LinkedIn is currently down around the world, affecting users on both mobile and desktop. The Microsoft-owned social network started having problems around 2 p.m. ET, and LinkedIn has confirmed it is working on bringing the site back online.

“Some members may have a problem accessing LinkedIn on their mobile and desktop,” a LinkedIn Twitter post said. “We’re working on it right now and will provide updates as we get them.”

It’s rare for LinkedIn to experience outages, and it’s unclear why the service is having issues today. LinkedIn last experienced widespread problems in January last year, when users were unable to post to the service or make new connections. Today’s outage affects the entire website, so it doesn’t load at all for most users.

We have contacted LinkedIn for more details and will keep you posted accordingly. If you are waiting for this very important email to connect to the work network, just know that the issues are being addressed.
