Lisa VanderpumpThe Vanderpump Dog Foundation dog rescue organization sold a worm-infested puppy to a woman who herself contracted intestinal parasites …
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ … the woman visited Vanderpump Dogs in Los Angeles in July 2019 to adopt a small puppy. She says she got along with a dachshund named Cassie after being assured by staff that it was perfectly safe to hold and play with her, although the dog is not yet receiving deworming treatment.
She claims to have spent several hours with the puppy, then she was asked if she wanted to adopt him and she did … and the adoption was approved the very next day.
According to the documents … the woman asked several questions about Cassie’s health and Vanderpump Dogs employees assured her that she was getting a “healthy puppy” with all the necessary treatments and injections.
However, the woman alleges that rescuing the dog provided her with a fake vaccination record and a fake certificate stating that Cassie had been dewormed, and once she brought the dog home …
According to the docs… Cassie’s new owner immediately noticed that she was acting weird, was less playful and continued to run on the floor. Then, the woman claims to have discovered that Cassie “expelled large live worms while defecating”.
The woman says she contacted Vanderpump Dogs but got no immediate response. So she took the dog to a pet hospital, where he was treated for a severe worm infection.
It gets a lot worse – the woman says she started to feel bad over the next few days, then to her horror … she started expelling “live worms and eggs from her mouth, vagina and of his anus “.
She says she was diagnosed with intestinal parasites and had to take strong medication due to the severity of the infestation. She says that in addition to making her seriously ill, she has been traumatized and still suffers from emotional distress, disgust and nightmares.
The woman is suing the Vanderpump Dog Foundation for negligence and fraud. We have contacted the organization … no response yet.
