Dude, those horns! It feels like something really epic is going on while this part of the score plays, maybe something from the climax of the movie. I feel like Batman might be on the verge of parting ways with a villain, especially with those haunting drums quietly lingering after such an orchestral rise.

Maybe that’s something we’ll hear in the upcoming new trailer for “The Batman” which is set to debut during DC FanDome. This is easily one of the most anticipated panels of the virtual fan gathering, and it will give everyone something to watch over and over again until the film arrives on March 4, 2022.

Little is known about the plot of “The Batman”, but Robert Pattinson is playing the new version of Bruce Wayne / Batman. The film will also feature multiple villains, with Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, and the unrecognizable Colin Farrell as The Penguin, who is rumored to have his own spinoff series on HBO Max. Plus, let’s not forget John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone.

Meanwhile, on the Batman side, Andy Serkis plays a cool guy for once as Bruce Wayne’s butler and confidant Alfred Pennyworth. And Jeffrey Wright will be on the right side of the law as Commissioner Gordon, another character receiving a spinoff series on HBO Max. The rest of the cast includes Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, and Jayme Lawson.

Matt Reeves is the head of “The Batman,” and the filmmaker also provided a little insight into what he’s working on in a Twitter post today:

We don’t know if Reeves is just working on an assembly cut of the film in the editing room, or if he’s overseeing the trailer that will be released during DC FanDome. Anyway, we can’t wait to see “The Batman” again soon. Stay tuned.
