Listen to the new single “Last One Standing” with Eminem

As in the first film, the next sequel from Sony Venom: let there be carnage will feature an original Eminem track. Entitled “Last One Standing”, the track is actually a collaboration with Skylar Gray, Polo G and Mozzy, Gray taking the lead on vocals. He’s now available to check out via Grey’s YouTube page. While not as hilarious as the track from the original movie, “Last One Standing”, we can forgive this downside. After all, it’s hard to come up with an excuse to say “Venom” fifty times in any song, let alone do it twice.

This one has a bit more of an epic and lyrical quality, a bit like “Bring Me To Life”, the song by Evanescence that made the daredevil soundtrack of commercial success. Part of the song had previously been teased on Eminem’s social media.

Realized by the Lord of the Rings and Black Panther star Andy Serkis, Venom: let there be carnage focuses on a deranged serial killer suddenly having access to a new symbiote spawned by Venom himself. As the name suggests, the villain uses his new abilities to launch into a killing spree. In the comics, Carnage’s first arc was a fairly straightforward superhero storytelling, and while it was violent and sadistic, the blood and blood was mostly off-panel and implied. Yet its inclusion was another argument in favor of the R rating that Sony has yet to embrace with their Venom movies.

“We looked at it 100%,” star Tom Hardy told ComicBook.com of the new film’s potential R rating. “With all these symbiotes, you know, you consider it. You read the comics and it’s extreme, but that’s not what we’re here for. We came here to make a movie that, and correct- me if I’m ‘I’m wrong, I mean, there’s a law and a rule to make a movie that’s accessible to a lot of people, and that’s for everyone, including die-hard fans, to Carnage and say : “Yes, I recognize Carnage in the comics. I’m happy with that. “And yes, no, we didn’t bite everyone’s head, but we put our tongues down the throat of someone pretty … come and see it too.”

With Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham and Woody Harrelson, Venom: let there be carnage is in theaters from October 1.
