A palisading sailboat developed by Pomeranian carpenters in addition to the Curonian Lagoon's ethnographic fleet created by historical engravers has become a striking cultural focus in the Klaipėda region in the program of National Day events.

On the first trip on July 5, the new Germanika Germanika 8 meters long was laid out according to the authentic Curonian tradition – the unique weather vane symbolized by the origin of the owner and declared that it is on the edge of the mills near Vilkyčiai. It will distinguish a ship by far from the other four historic Kurne built earlier.

. The deportation ceremonies took place according to the authentic customs: the oldest Pomeranian fisherman Remigijus Rimkus and the women of the ethnographic group "Sklada" Rusnė covered the stag bridge, the sides of the boat were relaxed with beer and the children sailed on some onions. A voracious high crown on a stem, an ash meadow made up of an ash – for protection against disasters.

Sources say that before the war there were about a hundred flying ships in the Curonian Lagoon, and they were used for fishing, merchandise and trafficked pbadengers. Nobody survived the Soviet era.

"When motorboats replaced caravans, only memories and envy remained, but the Curonian lagoon without deer and veil is like a soulless man," says Rolandas Baltuonis, director of furniture manufacturing company "Germanika"

The villagers of Sakutėlikai village decide to rebuild one of the old flat-bottomed moon boats half a century ago and they were supported by a wealthy engineer from Shipbuilding, Ruslan Simas Knapkis, not only 300 Germanic workers, but also their families, joined the shipyard

"Our company is located in a rural area, we come to work in the surrounding areas, and then we go to Let's expand, we perceived that people could combine not only the work, but also a significant idea and ignited – the idea was to build a grbadhopper. In fact, we had not even anticipated that employees would be so eager to get into this idea. The most interesting thing is that those who fought the most in the beginning and who did not believe that they would succeed in building were involved. So kurėnas is the gift of all the collective for Lithuania celebrating the centenary of the restoration of independence. However, the ship is only the beginning of the project, now it is necessary to train the masters and teach all who want to sail it, – R. Baltuonis

– Germanikos workers have created themselves pine boards, planks, resin, sawdust, impregnated, checked and turned over the planks, badembled the horns and shovels of the ship, produced various details of the structure of the curtain, navigation equipment. According to the craftsmen, even for experienced carpenters, the construction of Kurna represented a major challenge: the plant was equipped with modern technologies, most of the work was carried out by robots supervised by the staff and the construction work had to be done manually. The hardest thing was to master the instruments.

It is expected that during the shipping period, the turf will be in the port of Kinta and, during the next year, it will be stored in the territory of the factory. It can take up to 10 people.

The Germania SBA Group is famous for being one of the largest hinged furniture manufacturers in Europe, providing furniture to the Scandinavian Ikea company. R. Baltuonis, "To know Lithuanian," said that sales in the first half of this year have surged, and that the good results of the year are expected. Because of the employees, they must not only compete with companies in Klaipėda, but also in Šilutė. Although "Germanika" has many close relatives, some employees must come from Priekulė and Silute. According to him, the construction of Kurna undoubtedly improved the climate of the team, since it proved that nothing is possible to a person, the team the winner.

The power of this slogan was verified at the launching ceremony of a ship. His efforts were soon pushed deeper into where he was already able to swim and where the historic wagons had been waiting for him.
