On the territory of the complex of the Great Synagogue, nearly 1000 square meters surrounded by the cultural heritage of the capital. Municipality until 2020, until all the territory and the surrounding environment begin to be installed, decided to creatively use the building of the former primary school Vytė Nemunėlis, praising it to those who will be engaged in the work of the municipality of Vilnius.

"In making proposals, it is important to know that they will develop in an environment in which the city and the Jewish community are preparing to understand correctly and simultaneously the Great Synagogue of Vilnius, a very important object of multi-ethnic life, history and culture We want to rent premises for artistic and innovative, by experiencing the context of this special place for developers ", – says the Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius.
All moral and physical persons are invited to participate in the contest. It is possible to rent all or part of the premises. Now, the competition is limited to potential tenant ideas for activities that will be evaluated by a special working group and the rental price must be offered at least the initial rental price specified in the notice. The initial rental can not be less than 100 m². m – 10 euros per month, from 101 to 300 square meters. m – 20 EUR per month and more than 300 m2 m – 30 euros per month
Documents are available until 25 July. On July 26th, envelopes will be created, after which the special working group will evaluate the descriptions of the freeform activities presented in the applications, and on August 3rd, it will become clear who will settle on Vokiečių Street. 13A.
The building in which previously stood the Vilnius Vytautas Nemunėlis primary school is empty since last year. In 2020, it is expected that this building will be demolished and, until 2023, to commemorate the Great Synagogue of Vilnius, to organize the adjacent environment.
