New Alina Orlova: Presentation of the album "Daybreak" at the Royal Palace | Culture

On July 24, the day of the concert, the album took on its physical appearance. As A. Orlova himself said, "if someone else cares about albums". This seems to be concerned. The courtyard of the Royal Palace was full. Even before the concert, the audience began to wear flowers and react to the smile and the words of each artist

Alina was unexpected – a symbol of fragility, comfort and naturalness in the music – seen at the Palais du Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Of course, Alina, for a long time, is no longer the daughter of Visaginas, whom I saw for the first time on the porch of the National Drama Theater, playing free during the days of the capital. In Lithuania, she has fallen into the whirlwind of an institutionalization of alternative music today. The Golden Parazyth Electronic Duo currently plays in the Palace of Congresses, the rock group "Bubble Colors" – St. At Catherine's Church, their colleagues Freaks on Floor bravely show "Rock Mbad" and play in the same courtyard of the Royal Palace. For ten years, all their fans grew up and could pay more for the tickets – tickets for A. Orlova's concert cost about 30 euros.

Such "entertainment" is often considered a treasure or simply a tedious choice. However, in most cases, this is almost inevitably part of a career cycle.

A. Orlova looked and felt on this gigantic stage as if she had always been here. The old songs well struck in the cozy hostel of Downtown Forest in Užupis sounded last year not very interesting even for her. And here is a whole new breath. Even the specific voices of Alina have acquired a new sophistication and solidity.

Of course, the exemplary sound, the charming piano and even the long black dress chosen by Alina helped. From a distance, you could continue with pianist Muza Ruzbacki. Even the string quintet has been invited to reinforce this clbadic recital impression. Certainly, her role remained more "due to beauty" – there was little work for them. Former fans might imagine a former violinist Sima Butavičius who played with Alina in the past.

This superb scene was enough for Alina himself. To stay on the lookout, managing the public by playing such two-minute vignettes requires a strong charisma. One of the greatest strengths of this artist is the ability to seamlessly include in the tricolor of poetry. She also sings naturally in Russian, Lithuanian and English, and she calmly "grabs" the words of other authors (Ana Ahmadova, Antanas Miškinis, Vytautas V. Landsbergis and even David Bowie). As she said herself, "about love and something".

Such openness to the various cultures of the Lithuanian scene is truly exceptional. In addition, it is rare to see young audiences watching twice as many older audiences. It is not a secret that the old generation of listeners is strongly linked to Russian and French dramatic songs, for which Alina 's work is now closer than before.

The presentation of the songs of the fourth studio album "Daybreak", in my opinion, remained in the margin. Most of the concert went to known works. The new ones, although noted for quintet performance, have not started the new stage (and the artist himself has said that they have returned to the atmosphere of the first album ). "It's also a matter of separation" – that's the main leitmotif of the texts. The melodramatic and pathetic expectations of childhood Alina songs have been added. It is as if we are getting closer to the tradition of Russian ballads. Yet, the emotion was not so far away from the songs on the moon and the rails of the train – it was as if it had been fortified, she herself became reconciled with it – same …

During the concert, in the blue sky. There is no better character for a better character. After all, the bird is one of the most important characters of Alina. And he looks like such a bird, that many would like to close between the gold ropes. I'll tell you briefly: do not worry. By changing her status in the culture, Alina Orlova is able to protect her identity and follow her own set of creative rules.
