Lithuanian representatives Audrius Knašas and Patrikas Stankevičius won bronze medals in beach volleyball for young Europeans (up to 22 years old) in Jurmala, Latvia
Lithuanians took third place on Sunday after 31 minutes. Russians Denis Shekunov and Dmitry Veretiuk defeated the Russians 2-0 (21:19, 21:12). Knašas and P. Stankevičius became the first Lithuanians to win the European Youth Championship medal (up to 22 years old). The five consecutive victories we won on Sunday were only in the semi-finals where 0-2 (20:22, 18:21) defeated Alejandro and Javier Huertom of Spain.
Irina Zobnina and Ieva Vasiliauskaitė finished their sixth final of the women's tournament.
