Ramūnas Danisevičius may be called not only one of the best Lithuanian photographers, but also a great prophet of changes in traditional photography. When he released the price of Lithuanian photo printing for the golden frame last year, he said the terse but important phrase: "Everyone disagrees, what better, Nikon or Canon I made this mobile phone snapshot. "
The photographer with this picture did not stop, and more and more often R Danisevičius, who rides in the capital, can see a photographer with non-standard professional equipment and a smartphone. Currently, with pictures taken by phone at the Huawei Next Image contest, he agrees to tell him more about what he wants to be a good shot, what annoys Instagram and what talent, camera or practice is important for the photographer. What are the main differences between mobile photography and traditional photography?
– Around 2002-2003, some of the phone makers invented the introduction of cameras in all their models. Part of that vision was laughing, but maybe unnecessarily. Then I had such a phone, but they did not apply professional photography. The breakthrough came when phones with high resolution cameras appeared. It is with one of those phones that I won the golden frame, it was the first case of this kind in Lithuania.
Mobile photography has now reached new heights. I have also done a solo show "Mono" at the Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce in 2015, In my exhibition in Milan, my work is suspended, as well as by phone.

– If at that time everyone has one or another "instrument" for photography, when do you think that a person can be called a photographer? What is it that a lover separates from a professional?
– There is such a saying – if you bought a camera, you are already a photographer, and if you bought a violin, it only has one violin. Of course, photography requires basic knowledge.
Can we photograph someone with a phone? And yes and no. I know some of the most diverse professions of people who make great pictures over the phone.
– What are the camera enhancements that you consider as essential improvements that have brought mobile photography closer to this traditional and professional photography?
– Now, now I'm using the Huawei P20 Pro every day on my phone, so I can safely say that the quality of the photos that it's getting fast close to one's professional camera. With two or even three cameras, you have the ability to mix the background of your photos, and it's best to "shoot" the image out of the dark to better convey the colors and the details. The phones were already very close to the cameras.

– How easier to make a good shot – by phone or by a professional camera? Why? Maybe one is more appropriate in one situation, another in another?
– It depends on the situation. It's a real challenge to take a photo shoot on a phone. The phone is very useful when people are looking at big lenses in a sinuous way, and you just want to be a non-existent tourist without paying attention to yourself.
The phone makes the job of a photographer easier: just press a button for where you were and where you were.
– You are currently participating in the Huawei Next Image Competition, where Huawei phones compete in different categories – from nature to night photography. What kind of shots do you enjoy most?
– There is a saying – take pictures of everything that moves. And if you do not move – move. I do not hide the photos of conifers, dishes. It's funny that some do not start eating until the insert inserts the contents of the dish. Other ordinary shoes take pictures. This is not my domain, I do not like these shots. More portraits, more interesting natural images are attracted. In general, I think the best shot is the one that I do not like anymore, so I really love photography in unexpected situations.

– Do pictures processed by the phone deal with photo editing programs? What do you think about effects and filters in general? For example, do you upload frames or "green" revisions to your Instagram account?
– I will not hide, I use the filters instagram but no filter will save it.
– Does photography have fashion / trends – what and how should photography be taken at a certain point? If so, is it worthwhile to pursue them?
– As everywhere, there is. New programs, new filters appear. The pictures of the dishes are changed when you are somewhere behind your arm. Do you need to follow fashion? I do not know, it's personal here.

– Maybe, for example, when you look at the Instagram feed, do you see amateur boot duplicates? Is there something that is boring in the photos?
– Everyone learns mistakes, and in photography it is very difficult to define what is right and what is wrong. If you are very bored, just change the channel
– The British have a saying that enough practice will help to achieve perfection. Is it valid in photography? What's more important – practice, experience or talent?
– A photographer, like a good ballet dancer, has to practice every day. I do not remember the day when I would not have pressed all at once.
