The Associated Press news agency reported that the Chicago court had announced such a decision on Thursday.
Lithuanian prosecutors seek to remove N. Venckienė to Lithuania in order to be able to lodge a complaint against a judicial decision to transfer the niece to a mother for non-performance, to mislead, to collect illegal information, to abuse the rights of children and to other crimes.
N. Venckiene left Lithuania in 2013. She was arrested in Chicago in February.
