The art and architecture of Vilnius, which came to us from 1919 to 1939, often remain in the realm of science , culture and the public interest, so invisible. The works created by artists, architects, art historians, architects and curators of Vilnius testify to the cultural and political realities of urban and urban life, with eloquent and relevant visual documents, as they form a conscious attitude and responsible for the company. The results of the activities of the promoters (architects, conservators in particular) are still active in the cultural landscape of Vilnius: they participate in the formation of the urban landscape, often becoming the starting point for the preparation of projects for the management of cultural property ( Superior Castle). The painting and the graphic art of the artists of the time (J. Hoppen, W. Romanowiczius, K. Kwiatkowski, L. Slendzinski, B. Jamontto, M. Roubos, etc.) reveal unique characteristics of the perception of the city and its interpretation, the existence of which is often unconscious,

Expansion of the city as living organism, city spiritus loci urban and rural formations, creation of a modern city, dead man, revelation of everyday life – universal topics relevant to those who worked in the interwar period to the viewer. The exhibition consists of three parts interpreting these themes: " Spiritus loci ", "A look at the future", "Reflections of everyday life".

More than 100 exhibits of various museums of Vilnius, libraries, archive collections are exhibited in the exhibition, notoriously known and not seen by the authors.
