Taking into account the data collected during the investigation, both Šiauliai were also accused of production and distribution of badgraphic content, as well as the impact on the witness of the illegal possession of electronic means of payment .
According to Rimantas Vagris, prosecutor of the Regional Prosecutor's Office for Crime and Corruption Investigation, who chaired and controlled the preliminary investigation, most of the victims in this case are vulnerable women, to whom financial difficulties have been entrusted and must be protected against the perpetrators of criminal offenses.
The prosecutor also noted that trafficking in human beings, which is moving more and more into the virtual space, is a particularly complicated criminal act. The prosecutor is therefore particularly pleased with the work and cooperation of officers from the Organized Crime Bureau of the Panevėžys County Police Headquarters.
