InSight captured the first traces of the red planet

NASA's InSight probe landed on Mars earlier this month to capture the weakest seismic vibrations, which would have been the first recorded on this planet, scientists said Tuesday.

The InSight seismometer captured these shakes on April 6th.

The story of this incident is perceived as a slight grunt and sounds like the sounds generated by the wind, but scientists believe that their source comes from the depths of the red planet.

French scientist Philippe Lognonne, responsible for this observational program, said he was eager to finally find evidence that Mars was still seismic.

However, the geological activity of the red planet is much lower than that of the Earth and more like that of the Moon. There are no tectonic plates on Mars.

Scientists are still badyzing the data and capturing three other weaker signals.

The French seismometer on the surface of Mars was lowered in December a few weeks after the landing of the probe.
