Programmers, pilots, aircraft managers, aviation technicians, computer system administrators and engineers are only representatives of a few professions that are lacking in state and municipal authorities.

The government is preparing to approve Wednesday the list of 38 missing professions prepared by the Ministry of the Interior. The purpose of the resolution is to facilitate the employment of these people – by lowering requirements and offering higher wages.

This will be the third list in Lithuania, which lists the missing professions. One of them is based on the economic activity of the employment office. The government has already approved the list of 49 highly qualified highly qualified professions established by the Ministry of Economy, which paves the way for easier employment of third-country nationals in Lithuania.

Why do public institutions need pilots, air pilots and aircraft mechanics? Advisor to the Minister of the Interior Karolis Vaitkevičius 15 minutes explained that the list of these professions had been requested by the State Border Guard Service (SBGS).
